Regulatory reference
OSHA planning information
OSHA's construction sanitation standard, 29 CFR 1926.51, sets toilet facility categories by the number of employees at the site. It is written in terms of toilet seats and urinals — not portable rental units — so translating it directly into a unit count can be inaccurate.
We show the regulatory category and our operational planning recommendation as two separate outputs so you can see exactly which is which.
Two separate outputs
Federal OSHA reference: the applicable Table D-1 category for your crew size, quoted accurately.
Planning recommendation: our practical estimate for units, servicing and handwashing. Not a legal determination.
